Say yes to a free demo of Mugato and let yourself be impressed, says Henrik Amsinck, CIO at Falck.

“We were all very impressed! Both my infrastructure manager and his technicians and also my enterprise architect were very excited about the thinking that was behind the Mugato product.”

This is what Henrik Amsinck, CIO at Falck, tells about the first time he and his team saw a demo of what Mugato has to offer.

“The demo that Michael Frandsen from Mugato made for us clearly showed how powerful a tool Mugato is and how Mugato facilitates a completely new method of IT management. We said yes thanks to getting a demo server set up, it only took 10 minutes. Then it stood and listened to our network for 14 days,” says Henrik.

After the 14 days, Henrik and his people met again with Michael from Mugato. It was an experience that Henrik clearly remembers.

The infrastructurelandscape stands almost organic and vibrates – it’s real time

“For the first time, we suddenly see our entire infrastructure landscape clearly for us. Lightningfast, our entire application landscape appears in clear text – these threeservers, they solve this task and use these file servers and so on." Henrik tells us.

“We see a map where it all stands and glows; it stands almost organically and vibrates, because in Mugato, everything is real time. We can zoom in and out on a map to see our world wide communication patterns, and rewind back and forth in time – and discover, hoof, why did something start out in China there?” he continues.

Mugato saves history

“Mugato stores the history so that you can rewind back and forth in time and see if there have been changes in the infrastructure that you have not sanctioned yourself. You can see both in real time and over time how the infrastructure has evolved. This means that you can solve infrastructure problems faster because you can analyze changes over the last week, month, quarter – and that also means that you can spot security risks,” says Henrik.

“Mugato is like having star binoculars. Suddenly you can see the moon clearly. You have been able to see that the moon is shining at night, but now you can see it in 4K resolution,” Henrik compares.

Mugato is like getting a real-time updated GPS for your infrastructure

Mugato is great and despite giving you deep insights, the solution is non-intrusive,” Henrik explains and elaborates: “Mugato does not put an agent on each server or anything. It listens and understands communication between all components of our infrastructure –and then it is intelligent enough to analyze network traffic and combine it with a regular interview of each server, after which it can direct everything that is going on, between both the servers."

“Mugato doesn’t take up any space. It doesn’t pull teeth out on the servers. Still, you get an insight as if you had put the heaviest agent on each server. Mugato listens for 14 days, and then it draws up your entire infrastructure for you with all the relationships between the components and all the servers grouped into business applications,” he added.

“Imagine that you’re being dropped off somewhere in Germany without GPS – and then someone lends you a real-time-updated GPS. Now you can enter where you want to go, and then you get a real-time updated route. That’s how it felt,” explains Henrik.

Mugato is a value-creating diamond – too good to be true

Still, Mugato is hard to sell, he explains, because Mugato is simply too good to be true.

“Although Mugato is a value-adding diamond in the pile of simili, it is difficult to prove it. Infrastructure is not the department that makes the most money experiments. They are under severe budget restrictions, so everything they do has to be able to payoff,” Henrik points out.

“You have to be absolutely sure that it is worth buying a tool like Mugato in advance. That you can make money on it. For our part, we made the entire MUGATO investment over 3 months – and we still keep making money from our investment,” he elaborates.

Say yes to a demo, let yourself be impressed – and regain power over your infrastructure

Henrik is in no doubt: He can only encourage everyone to say yes to a free demo of Mugato.

“There is an Mugato collector installed on your own server in your own domain – it is non-instructive and completely secure. Let it stand and become wiser as it gathers up insane amounts of information about your relationships and processes. And then be impressed when you see your infrastructure visually and in clear speech for the first time later.”

“With Mugato, we have regained power over our infrastructure. We can see what is going on, and we can also see what should not be going on, so that we can proactively intervene before users and businesses are affected. Most recently, Mugato offers to monitor all server certificates so that we never do business disruption due to an expired certificate. Mugato is like getting your sight back.”
